SUBPLOT MAKEMAKE

Quinn is a council member of the Mars Scientific Institution, known across the solar system to have not only the best tech but the best scientists too. She's been sent on a classified mission out to the uninhabited dwarf planet Makemake to collect samples and run tests in search of new and/or useful elements to aid the war effort. Quinn was overjoyed to be sent alone for a number of reasons: she works best in solitude, no one else would muck up her studies and she wouldn't have to come back and explain why she had a fellow martian's blood on her hands because they "chewed too loudly."

The Martian officials figured that she would be safe as the mission was classified to even their cold comrades and no one would have a reason to visit a small dwarf planet so far out of reach.

They figured wrong.

Mercury knew and now had a reason to visit the small dwarf planet even fruther out of their reach.

So Connor, on the opposing side of the war, has been sent to spy and if needed, steal anything important from Quinn and take it back to Mercury to be sent off to Saturn for further tests.

Quinn settles in quickly to her state-of-the-art temp base with the help of byte, the AI robot which controls the base and has a complete midn of its own. At least a robot can't chew.

Of course, Quinn finds something VERY new and very VERY useful and stores it in her temp base lab.

Connor, who has been watching from afar for weeks now, sneaks in and steals the samples with ease, but oH No! He gets back to his ship and it no longer works :(it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the poorly cut wires, dented to the point they are out of place fins, burnt supply room and giant wrench sticking out of the smashed dashboard. Mercurenes are known for their top notch shuttles what ever could have happened!!!

So now both not having what they need most, they are naturally not very joyous at the moment. Mars chick comes up with the plan of wasting no time in finding him and shoot shoot, but quickly steers herself in the opposite direction to avoid her ship being stolen. So she waits, after all those burnt supplies aren't gonna last long and he's gotta eat at some point.

Long story short Mars catches Mercury man in the attempt of trying to steal more of her belongings, and boy oh boy isn't this a convenient time for a massive mutant alien monster to decide on it's dinner? With working together being the only way for either to come out alive and have the chance of getting what they want, they fight it off together and grumpliy half agree to a truce.

Their original life-death rivalry turns into friendly-possibly-flirtaous-rivalry and the two begin to build trust in eachother. yay
